Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during assigned shifts.
• Utilize nursing processes, current nursing trends, technology, and resources to deliver patient care.
• Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures based on ongoing evaluation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience.

Education

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

• Illinois State RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)

Additional Information

• Travelers will be responsible for unit keys, which must be returned or shipped back with tracking after assignment completion. Failure to return keys within 30 days may result in a fee.
