Job Details

- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4x10 days)
- Average daily caseload: 18 patients
- Call required: Yes (covered by call team Monday-Friday 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM and full weekend coverage)
- Floating between units: No
- Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Certifications must be from AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- Other certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC) but not specified for this role
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable (Washington state requirements apply)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator clearance required for travel candidates (annual)
- Fit mask testing required (annual), with specific acceptable mask types
Training & Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required
- Color blindness testing if requested by unit
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Workramp LMS modules:
- Annual regulatory modules required for all caregivers
- Specialty-specific modules required for ER, L&D, and leadership roles (may apply depending on assignment)
- Regional and facility-specific modules assigned based on location and specialty
- Epic training modules required (completion and transcript submission)
Additional Notes
- Floating policy acknowledgment required (may be asked to float to nearby Providence facilities)
- Passport-style badge photo required for badge issuance
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
