Travel RN Opportunity - Med/Surg Unit

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center, 43-bed Medical Unit
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: At least 2 weekend shifts per month recommended
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
• Unit Equipment: Vital signs machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, tube feeding pumps
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Experience & Education Requirements

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience (preferred)
• Preferred Experience: Charge nurse experience preferred but not required; oncology skills helpful but not necessary
• Required Education: ADN
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Adults (18 years and older)
• Common conditions include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, congestive heart failure (CHF)

Additional Information

• Float requirements as per facility needs
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must have at least a 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
