Travel RN Opportunity - Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours/week)
Floating: Must float to facility FSEDs as needed
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Emergency Services
- Beds:
- 48 private rooms
- 27 hallway stretchers
- 9 Fast track beds
- 5 Behavioral health beds
- Staffing:
- Total staff: 111
- Day shift includes Charge nurse + 11 others, multiple mid-shifts, 2 PCTs, 1 Paramedic, 1 LVN
- Night shift staffing similar to day shift
- Patient Ratios:
- ED: 1 nurse to 4 patients
- Behavioral Health: 1 nurse to 5 patients
- Cardiac/Trauma: 1 nurse to 3 patients
- Equipment:
- Alaris pumps
- Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers
- Stryker stretchers
- EMR System: MEDITECH
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License (RN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Nursing specialty
Preferred Skills
- Meditech EMR experience
- Trauma experience
- Inpatient experience
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
