Travel RN Opportunity - Med/Surg Unit

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekend Hours: Must occasionally work weekends (7 AM – 7 PM / 7 PM – 7 AM)
• Call Requirements: Only when down staffed or placed on call
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adults, occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
• Unit Type: Acute Care, 34 beds
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Equipment Used: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, tele monitor, etc.
• EHR System: Cerner

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty (Med/Surg) required
• Prior Travel Experience: Required for travel assignments (must have greater than one year healthcare experience)
• Skills:

  • Healthcare experience required
  • Telemetry experience preferred
• Personality Fit: Flexible and willing to help

Additional Information

• Float Requirements: Possible to care for inpatient holds
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; closed-toed shoes required; no unacceptable attire beyond this
• Unit Environment: Telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients

This position is ideal for an experienced Med/Surg RN with prior travel experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment in a supportive acute care setting.
