Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- 1st time travelers accepted
- Prior travel experience: Not required

- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Clinical Skills & Work Setting
- Patient Diagnoses include:
Appendicitis, Cholecystitis, Small Bowel Obstruction, Pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, Hypertension, Hypo/Hyperglycemia, Prostatectomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Ostomy creation/reversal, Exploratory Laparotomy, Bowel resections - Equipment experience:
NGT (Nasogastric Tube), Chest Tubes, Feeding Tubes, Wound VACs - Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:6
- Unit size: 34 beds, average daily census 27
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, within facility
- Call: None
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (see details below)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Major Holidays to Work if They Fall During Assignment:
- New Year’s Eve and Day
- Memorial Day

- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve and Day
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Clinical screen required to determine clinical fit before final manager approval
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Check (within 30 days of start) including:
- County and national criminal searches
- Education verification
- Education Verification (degree related to specialty)
- State License verification (Georgia RN license required)
- Annual NURSYS verification
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no pending results allowed)
- Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- TB test or chest X-ray (within 12 months) and TB questionnaire (updated annually)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
- Skills Checklist (updated annually)
- Work History Verification (most recent employer)
- References: 2 clinical references required
Competency Exams (Aya Required)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Color Blind Testing
- Competency Exam for Nursing and Allied Health
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Tele, MS/Tele, IMCU, ER, Cardiac Tele/Step-down, ICU, PCU)

- Locals accepted at same rate
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Candidate must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
