Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Opportunity

Location: Marshalltown, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a 16-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient types include Telemetry, Post-Op Surgical, Orthopedic, and General Surgery
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry
• Experience with drips such as Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone
• EPIC charting experience preferred and required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting (required)
• Orthopedic/general surgery care experience (required)
• 24 months of current nursing experience required (1st time travelers accepted)
• 24 months of current operating room experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
• Valid Driver’s License required

Additional Requirements

• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry discipline required
• Professional references or performance evaluations from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required; 1st time travelers accepted with minimum nursing experience

Summary

This is a 13-week travel RN assignment in Iowa requiring at least 2 years of relevant nursing experience, including Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and operating room experience. Candidates must hold an active Iowa or compact RN license and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Telemetry skills and EPIC charting experience are preferred. Prior travel experience is not mandatory.
