Job Details

Certifications & Licenses Required

  • Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
  • Maine State Radiologic Technologist license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred

Job Responsibilities

  • Review patient history and physician's orders
  • Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered
  • Monitor patient condition continuously and respond to changes appropriately
  • Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve or report equipment malfunctions
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures
  • Analyze imaging results, identify quality issues, and take corrective actions including re-positioning and repeating procedures
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results

Schedule

  • Varied shifts between 3 PM and 11:30 PM
  • Every other weekend 7 AM to 7 PM

Experience

  • Years of experience not explicitly stated; must be a certified and licensed MRI Technologist as above
