Job Details

• Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating

• Block Scheduling: Case by case
• Unit Size: 55 beds
• Specialty Experience: Cardiovascular experience required
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years preferred (will consider 1+ years)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; 1st time travelers accepted
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Any (no logo)

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
• PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable

Licensure & Verification

• Primary source online license verification required
• NURSYS verification required for RN license
• Education verification required (transcript or diploma accepted as placeholder if needed)

Compliance & Background Checks

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Work history verification for last 7 years required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must renew annually
• Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

• Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
• Completion of employment application/resume
• References: Internal only; not required for clearance

Notes

• Float and weekend coverage required as part of the role
• Block scheduling handled on a case-by-case basis
• Fingerprinting clearance required before working on unit (1-3 business days processing)
• Behavioral health nurses require specific CEU certification prior to start (if applicable)

This position is suitable for RNs with cardiovascular experience looking for a travel contract in a PCU night shift setting with flexible scheduling options. Prior travel experience is not mandatory.
