Radiology Technician - Northampton, Massachusetts (LTA Contract)

Job Summary

Perform radiographic procedures using stationary, portable, and specialized equipment at a technical and professional level without constant supervision. Ensure quality imaging for patients ranging from in vitro to adult.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Associate’s degree required (may be waived if grandfathered by licensing agencies, but high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory)
• Current Massachusetts licensure and registry eligibility required
• ARRT registration must be completed within 6 months of hire
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Must be trained and capable of handling patients completely from in vitro through adult

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Certifications & Compliance

• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• License/certificate verification with primary source verification (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually
• Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity proof
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
• National sex offender check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start, updated annually

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)

Additional Notes

• Photo submission required for onboarding (color photo, plain background, no glasses)
• Hepatitis B vaccine strongly preferred but optional
• Tdap vaccine preferred but optional
• Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation
• No religious or medical exemptions for flu vaccine or fit testing

This position is suitable for Radiology Technicians with at least 1 year of experience, proper licensure, and certifications, ready for a 13-week long-term assignment in Massachusetts.
