Description

Travel Physical Therapist Opportunity

Location: Port Charlotte, Florida
Employment Type: Travel

Facility & Unit Overview

Acute care hospital with 253 beds, including a 20-bed Inpatient Rehab unit
Approximately 20 Physical Therapy caregivers on staff
Day shift only for PT, OT, SLP; no night shift
Typical patient load: 9-10 patients per day (75% productivity standard)
Equipment: Mobility equipment
EMR system: Meditech

Job Requirements

Valid Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license
MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in Physical Therapy (highest required experience)
BLS certification required
Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating schedule with hospital staff

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Meditech EMR system
ICU experience

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
