Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Facility & Setting

  • Level III trauma center with 198 beds
  • Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
  • Outpatient rehabilitation department
  • Patient population: Adults and teens
  • Patient load: 10-14 scheduled patients per day
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner

Position Details

  • Specialty: Adult Outpatient Physical Therapy
  • Shift: Days (7:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed / 40 scheduled (overtime requires pre-approval)
  • Breaks: Unpaid 30-minute lunch (12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
  • Dress Code: Dark gray (pewter) top and black pants; scrubs or polo/button-up; no jeans
  • Vaccinations: All required vaccinations must be verified
  • Call and weekend hours: Not required
  • Float requirements: None
  • Mandatory meetings: Attendance expected; if during lunch break, timecard adjusted to paid time

Requirements

  • Licensure: New Mexico State PT License required (travelers can apply without NM license and obtain it during onboarding)
  • Certifications: BLS required
  • Years of Experience: 2 years (highest requirement between 1 and 2 years)
  • Preferred Experience: Outpatient experience, dry needling, manual therapy
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

  • The position is a backfill role
  • Located in a scenic area with outdoor recreational opportunities (rivers, golf courses, lakes, national parks)
  • Clinic open Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
