Job Opportunity: CVT / EP Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 40 hours/week
- Cases Required:
- Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
- Permanent Pacemaker Insertions (PPI)
- Pulmonary Artery (PA) Insertion
- Right Heart Catheterization
- Temporary Pacemakers
- Conduction Studies
- Insertion/Programming of AICDs
- Pacemaker Insertion
- On-call: No
- Weekend Work: No
- Floating: Possible floating to like units
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- First-timers: Accepted if they have previous experience
- Licensure: SCQRSA (South Carolina Qualified Radiologic Supervisor Authorization)
- Certifications Required:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Radiation Badge: Required and must be provided by the agency (facility does NOT provide)

Health & Safety
- Initial physical exam, updated annually
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or chest X-ray if positive history
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
Orientation & Facility Specifics
- Completion of orientation modules prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
- First Day Instructions and OurDay platform modules must be completed before orientation; failure to complete results in being sent home
- Passport-style photo required for badge
- Upload COVID and flu vaccine documentation into facility system
