Job Opportunity: RN Critical Care (Travel)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Floating Requirement: All inpatient areas including Stepdown and Med/Surg
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4

Required Experience

  • Specialty: RN Critical Care

  • Influenza Vaccine (required during flu season Oct-Mar; declination requires mask and specific forms)
  • Fit Test (completed within 1 year prior to start)
  • 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/TSPOT) with negative reads within last 6 months (annual requirement)
  • Positive PPD requires clear chest x-ray and current TB questionnaire (chest x-rays valid for 5 years)
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming ability to work without restrictions (completed within 1 year prior to start)

Background & Verification Requirements

  • Criminal Background Check (within 6 months, including Social Security Trace and County searches for last 7 years, National Sex Offender check)
  • OIG Search (within 6 months prior to start)
  • SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC clearance (within 6 months prior to start)
  • Employment Verification (within 5 years, third-party verified)
  • Education Verification (highest level, third-party verified; international equivalency required if applicable)
  • UHS Social Security Trace (if not included in background check)
  • UHS NSO (if not included in background check)
  • UHS National Database Criminal Background Check (for Ohio residents)

Testing & Competency Requirements

  • UHS Competency Exam (minimum 80% score, completed within 1 year prior to start)
  • UHS Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics; 80% passing score, completed within 1 year prior to start)
  • UHS Skills Checklist (clinical skills specific, completed within 1 year prior to start)
  • UHS Drug Screen (10-panel, completed within 60 days prior to start; instant drug screens not accepted)
