Diagnostic Imaging Contract Position - Hilo, Hawaii
Job Overview

Job Duties
Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including:
- Abdomen (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal; normal and pathology)
- Gynecological (breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis; normal, pathology, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric)
- Obstetrics (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester; amniocentesis; complications; biophysical profile; gestational age; placental grading; abnormalities; IUGR; uterus/adnexa)
- Procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasounds
- Neonatal (congenital anomalies, neonatal head)
- Superficial structures (abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, thyroid)
- Vascular (carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex)
Equipment used includes Canon i700 ultrasound machines, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
- Competency to proficient level in the listed ultrasound procedures
Licensure & Certifications
- ARDMS certifications required:
- Abdomen (AB)
- Obstetrics (OB)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Active BLS certification (AHA Certified)
Schedule & Other Requirements
- 40-hour work week with call as appropriate
- Floating to other units/departments may be required
- Dress code: Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
