Job Details

• Work involves cases done with 2 techs (1 scrubs & 1 monitors hemodynamics)
• RN provides conscious sedation
• Occasionally a 4th person (RN or tech) depending on the case
• Lead Tech assigns rooms
• Skills needed: STEMI receiving facility, cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention
• Comfortable with conscious & moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, cardiac drips (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors), and balloon pumps

Facility & Work Environment

• 5 suites/labs:

  • 2 suites primarily for coronary cases
  • 1 suite for peripheral cases
  • 1 suite for vascular & neuro cases
  • 1 suite for EP cases
• Average cases per day: 10-22 total

Call Requirements

• Weeknight call: Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases, approximately 1x/week
• Weekend call: 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning), subject to change based on unit needs
• Shift type: 10-hour shifts, every other weekend, first to float, call required

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
• Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Fluoroscopy certification
