Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I (Travel)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia

Job Requirements

• Specialty: RN Telemetry I
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years current Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Licensure: Must have West Virginia or compact nursing license
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification (required for RN specialties except OR and Psych)
• Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work 1:5 or 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Experience with Meditech EMR system
  • Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
  • Orientation occurs bi-weekly
  • Schedule: 36/48 hours per pay period (no block scheduling)
  • Start date on job is the start date needed

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification
  • Nursing license verification within 30 days of start
• Health & Immunizations:

  • COVID-19 Vaccine (religious and medical exemptions accepted with documentation)
  • Influenza Vaccine (required Sept 1 - May 31; exemptions accepted with documentation)
  • MMR (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (3 vaccine series or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
  • Tdap (valid 10 years from administered date; declinations accepted)
  • TB Quantiferon blood test within 1 year prior to start
  • Annual physical or health statement signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP stating clear to work without restrictions
• Background & Professional Checks:

  • 7-year background check including county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender registry, SAM, OIG
  • Drug screen (excluding marijuana/THC)
  • Employment and education verifications
  • Social Security trace (if separate from background check)
  • APS/CPS check for West Virginia facilities
• Competency & Skills:

  • ARH Skills Checklist (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start)
  • ARH Competency Exam (within 1 year prior to start)
  • ARH EKG Exam, Telemetry Exam (within 1 year prior to start)
  • ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Safety, Infection Control, etc.)
• Professional References:

  • Two professional references required; one must be a charge nurse or higher, one must be a supervisor reference within the last year
• Other:

  • Signed and dated specialty job description (annual update required)
  • ARH Submission Packet including required experience and unit information
  • ARH Employee Health Attestation Form (must be completed prior to compliance deadline)
  • Assignment confirmation must be uploaded within 24 hours of accepting the offer

Schedule & Work Environment

• 36/48 hour schedule per two-week pay period
• Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:5 or 1:6, may fluctuate with census and call-ins
• Orientation provided bi-weekly
