Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Department

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in Emergency Department or related specialty (ED/Critical Care/Trauma)
• Shift: See shift details (typically 36 guaranteed hours per week)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As needed
• Patient Population: All ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
• Unit Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios:

  • ESI 1, 2, & Horizontal 3s – 4:1
  • ESI Vertical 3s, 4, & 5 – 7:1
• EHR System: MedHost

Required Certifications & Licensure

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• NIH Certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Registered Nurse License valid in New Mexico
• Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Additional Requirements

• Must be fingerprinted and undergo background check per New Mexico state requirements before hire
• May start on a 14-day waiver while background check is pending but must be supervised during this time
• Must have certification/licensure required to work as an RN in New Mexico
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as travel staff

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in Emergency Services, Critical Care, or Trauma
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to teach
