Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Department
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in Emergency Department or related specialty (ED/Critical Care/Trauma)
- Shift: See shift details (typically 36 guaranteed hours per week)
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: As needed
- Patient Population: All ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Unit Beds: 20
- Patient Ratios:
- ESI 1, 2, & Horizontal 3s – 4:1
- ESI Vertical 3s, 4, & 5 – 7:1
- EHR System: MedHost
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- NIH Certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Registered Nurse License valid in New Mexico
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Additional Requirements
- Must be fingerprinted and undergo background check per New Mexico state requirements before hire
- May start on a 14-day waiver while background check is pending but must be supervised during this time
- Must have certification/licensure required to work as an RN in New Mexico
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as travel staff
