Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Damariscotta, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Job Summary
Provide high-quality respiratory care for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. Support the Cardiopulmonary Department during staffing needs while adhering to organizational standards, policies, and workflows.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy services for diverse patient populations (neonates through geriatrics).
- Stay current with organizational education and training, including updates on new equipment and workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Fill gaps in the department schedule as a traveler. Shift sign-ups occur every 8 weeks; travelers select shifts after full-time therapists have chosen theirs.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Current Maine State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
Qualifications
- Ability to provide respiratory care across all age groups.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new equipment and workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Contract Length
- 13 weeks.
