Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year (including 1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for Respiratory positions
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP)

Job Requirements

• Must be able to float as needed within the scope of practice
• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• Must comply with facility and system requirements for documentation, background checks, and health screenings

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals

Health & Immunization

• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual)
• Annual fit mask test
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (facility-specific timing may apply)
• Required immunizations or titers with boosters if needed:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved facility declination required
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (facility requires within 2 weeks of start including marijuana)

Licensing & Verification

• State license primary source verification
• NURSYS verification for RNs as applicable
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Religious and medical COVID exemption forms available and require facility approval
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 year
• Employment application/resume required

This position offers a travel contract opportunity for respiratory therapists with at least 1 year of experience and required certifications, working night shifts in a hospital setting with Meditech EMR.
