Job Opportunity: Radiation Oncology Technologist
Location: Pomona, California

Job Description
- Operate linear accelerators such as Trilogy or TomoTherapy to treat patients.
- Use Varian and Accuray equipment and Aria software.
Licensure & Education Requirements
- Must hold a California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license for Radiation Therapy.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Radiation Oncology.
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (required for certain units).
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, CCRN, TNCC, EFM).
- State license primary source verification required within 30 days of start.
- Tech certification verification (national) required for relevant tech roles.
Background Checks & Documentation
- Comprehensive background check covering the last 7 years, including Social Security Address Check (last 15 years), National Criminal Search, Sex Offender Search, Education Verification, and others.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days prior to start.
- Transcript/Diploma verification if applicable.
- Employment application must include a complete 15 years of work history with locations.
- Two professional references required, including one from the most recent experience.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, cleared to work without restrictions.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines.
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Hepatitis C).
- Tdap vaccine or declination within 10 years prior to start.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required annually.
- COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination required annually.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; annual drug screen required for travel and per diem staff.
- Fit mask testing required (specific approved masks listed).
Facility Specific Requirements
- Dress code: Solid colored scrubs only (no camouflage, jean texture, or character patterns).
- Badge photo on a plain blue background required within 72 hours of signing.
- Completion of facility orientation packet and acknowledgment prior to start.
- Completion of required training modules via facility LMS platform before start date.
- Various facility-specific acknowledgments and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., fingernail hygiene, timekeeping, privacy and security, COVID-19 exposure questionnaire).
- Annual renewal of certain documents and certifications may be required during assignment.
Additional Notes
- Radiation badges for new candidates are no longer provided by the agency; new hires must obtain badges from the facility.
