Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract
Location: Eureka, California
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Total Staffed Beds: 150
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Floating: No floating between units required
- On-Call: Not required
- Block Schedule: Open to Sat-Mon block scheduling
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ARRT Advanced
- California State License (CPDH Certificate required for RTs working in CA)
Additional certifications may be required based on clinical track and specialty, including but not limited to:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- Chemotherapy Certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification (if applicable)
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Health Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel candidates, updated annually
- Immunizations/Vaccinations:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
References and Employment History
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting (6 months for CNAs)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format
- Skills checklists as applicable, updated annually
Training and Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency Exams as required by specialty
- Color Blind Testing if required by unit (minimum 80% score)
- Specialty-specific competency exams (e.g., Medication Aide exam for CNAs in LTC Oregon facilities)
Facility-Specific and System Training Modules
- Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules required prior to start, including:
- Core Regulatory Requirements (annual)
- Specialty-specific modules based on profession and unit (ER, L&D, ICU, etc.)
- Regional Core and Specialty modules for CA and OR candidates
- Epic training modules (completion required for Providence Epic system access)
Additional Notes
- Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required (may be asked to float to nearby Providence facilities)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for respirator use
- All documentation must be uploaded and compliant prior to start
