Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)


Shift Information

  • 3x12 hour night shifts (Non-negotiable)
  • Strictly night shifts; no day or evening shifts available
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required (exemptions possible but may delay start and shorten contract)

Job Description

  • Provide nursing care to patients in collaboration with families following the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Nursing Practice
  • Deliver primary nursing care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Maintain current Rhode Island RN licensure
  • Maintain CPR and other necessary certifications for specialty competency
  • Proficiency in English required

Required Experience

  • Specialty: RN Emergency Room
  • Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated, default to standard RN Emergency Room experience expectations (typically 1-2 years minimum)
  • No prior travel experience required

  • Must have at time of submission:

    • BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • PALS (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • CNE Profile (Resume or Profile)
    • 2 Professional References (minimum 1 supervisory)
    • CNE Skills Checklist (RNs only)
    • CNE Work Attestation
  • Must have at time of onboarding:

    • Rhode Island RN License verification (Nursys)
    • License/Certificate primary source verification (within 30 days of start)
    • COVID-19 Vaccine proof (series or bivalent booster) or approved medical exemption
    • MMR (proof of 2 immunizations or positive titer)
    • Fit Test for N95 mask (within 1 year)
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination (titers not accepted)
    • Influenza vaccine (required 10/1 - 6/30, no exemptions)
    • 2 Step PPD or IGRA test within last year
    • Varicella (proof of 2 immunizations or positive titer)
    • Tdap immunization within last 10 years
    • RI Fingerprinting (RN only, done within 30 days of start)
    • Criminal Background Check (Federal, County, National, Statewide with OIG, NSO, GSA/SAM; within 6 months)
    • CNE First Look orientation packet completed
    • Non-Employee Confidentiality Agreement signed
    • Employment Verification (last 5 years)
    • CNE Specialty Competency Exam (RNs only)
    • CNE Basic EKG Exam (RNs only)
    • CNE Pharmacology Exam (RNs only)
    • CNE Core Competencies (RNs only)
    • Annual CNE Covid and Flu Policy form completed
    • BSN diploma or transcripts (RN positions only)
    • CNE Confirmation of Assignment
    • CNE Badge Photo (neutral background, forward facing)
    • Valid Driver's License or State ID
    • NIH Certification (American Heart Association)
    • Occupational Health Clearance Form
  • Optional:

    • Positive PPD history requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
