Nursing Contract Opportunity - Vail, Colorado

Location: Vail, CO

Shift: Rotating
Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3x12)
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and their families.
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction.
• Triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Deliver patient education to support care plans and promote wellness.
• Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statute.
• Perform competent healthcare assessments, prioritize tasks, and apply critical thinking.
• Manage high telephone volume related to patient requests for medications, information, and assistance.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with other physician practices and healthcare providers.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Advocate for patient safety, preferences, and communication using Relationship-Based Care principles.
• Model Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year operating room experience required.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license in Colorado or from a valid compact state.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Skills:

  • Computer proficiency or ability to obtain within 90 days for online learning and administrative tasks.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
