Job Opportunity: RN - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will focus on quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, applying evidence-based practice, and participating in a Practice Governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during the stay and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor.
- Promote teamwork and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience.
