Job Opportunity: Mammography Technician (Travel)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia

Job Details

• Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Friday
• On Call: None
• Equipment: Hologic Mammography Unit
• Experience Required: 2-5 years in Mammography Technician specialty (use 5 years as the requirement)
• Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • WV Medical Imaging License
  • ARRT (R) (M)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional Requirements:

  • Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
  • Orientation occurs bi-weekly
  • Assignment start date is the date needed to start

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Valid state license (WV or compact state license for WV facilities)

Immunizations & Health Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose with follow-up within 28-30 days)
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination
• Annual Influenza Vaccine (October-March) or approved medical/religious exemption
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose with follow-up within 28-30 days)
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years) or declination accepted
• TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
• Annual Physical or Physician statement confirming clearance to work without restrictions

Background & Screening

• ARH 20/20 Background Check (includes 7-year county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG checks) within 30 days prior to start, with annual updates
• ARH 20/20 Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, annual update required
• ARH West Virginia APS/CPS Check with 2-4 week turnaround, attestation uploaded within 48 hours of offer acceptance

Professional Documentation

• ARH Submission Packet including cover page, resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license/certification verification in one PDF
• 2 Professional References (1 charge or higher, 1 supervisor reference within the last year)
• Signed and dated specialty job description, updated annually
• Education and Employment Verifications (7 years of relevant experience required to verify)
• ARH Skills Checklist and Competency Exam specific to scope of practice within one year prior to start, updated annually
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives), updated annually

Other Requirements

• ARH Assignment Confirmation form must be uploaded within 24 hours of acceptance
• ARH Employee Health Attestation Form must be completed prior to compliance deadline

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
