Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Contract)

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Description

• Work with acute care patients, skilled nursing facility (SNF), and rehabilitation hospital settings.
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies independently in radiology without supervision by a radiologist.
• Possibility of outpatient care referrals.
• Use Meditech computerized documentation for inpatient care and paper documentation for outpatient care.
• Training provided for EMR documentation and orientation to rehab area expectations.

Requirements

• Licensure: Must have an active Hawaii rehabilitation license by the start of the assignment.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably with SNF level or rehab hospital experience.
• Must be able to independently complete MBS studies.
• Acute care experience required.

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Generally a set schedule, 5 days per week, likely including 1 weekend day.
• Possible floating to other units or facilities depending on census and staffing.
• Dress code: Scrubs or per facility dress code policy.

Additional Information

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday.
• Prior travel experience is required for this position.
