Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value 12)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Call: None
Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- Unit accepts first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)
Holiday Work Expectations
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler is expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2 of them
Major Holidays Include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Non-compliance results in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Required Certifications & Verifications
- State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia (for CRTs & RRTs)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for RRTs/CRTs
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required
- Other Certifications: May include PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification depending on specialty and unit requirements
- Education Verification: Verification of related degree required; diplomas required for RRTs
- Background Check: Comprehensive background check required within 30 days of start
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
- Immunizations & Health Documents:
- TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Flu vaccination or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
Competency Exams & Testing
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs and LVNs by Aya)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain units)
- Competency Exam (required for Nursing and Allied by Aya)
Additional Requirements
- References: 2 clinical references required by Aya
- Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
- Facility-specific documents such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start

- RTO (Return to Office) maximum 7 days
This position is suitable for respiratory/neuro diagnostics professionals with at least 2 years of experience, including those new to travel assignments. Full compliance with certifications, background checks, health documents, and competency exams is mandatory for timely start.
