Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry II (Travel)

Location: Prestonsburg, Kentucky
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

• Specialty: RN Telemetry II
• Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years current experience in specialty
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 / 1:6
• EMR System: Meditech
• Licensure: Must have Kentucky or compact nursing license
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Residency: RN must reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Start Date: Immediate (start date on job is start date needed)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association certified; front and back of certificate required if not electronic)
• ACLS (Required for all RNs except Psych and True Med/Surg units)
• NIH Certification (Required for RN specialties except OR and Psych)
• Valid Nursing License (Kentucky or compact license for KY facilities)
• Nursys verification within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer prior to start
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination accepted
• Influenza vaccine (seasonal, October-March) or approved medical/religious exemption required
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer prior to start
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (declinations accepted)
• TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
• If positive TB record, proof of chest X-ray within last 5 years plus TB questionnaire
• Annual physical or physician note within 1 year prior to start stating "clear to work" and free of restrictions
• Drug screen (ARH 20/20 Drug Screen) within 30 days of start, includes multiple substances (annual update required)

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• ARH Submission Packet including specialty job description (signed and dated)
• 2 professional references required (1 charge or higher, 1 supervisor reference within last year)
• Background check within 30 days prior to start (7-year county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, national sex offender, SAM, OIG) with annual updates
• Education and employment verifications (5 years employment verification if separate from background check)
• Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification within 30 days prior to start (annual update required)
• Social Security Trace, OIG Search, EPLS, OFAC, SAM, National Sex Offender checks as applicable (annual updates)
• ARH Employee Health Attestation Form completion required prior to compliance deadline
• Assignment confirmation form must be uploaded within 24 hours of offer acceptance

Skills & Competency Testing

• ARH Skills Checklist (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start)
• ARH Competency Exam (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start)
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives)
• ARH EKG Exam, Telemetry Exam (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start)

• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position
• Must submit assignment confirmation within 24 hours of accepting offer
• Candidates should not be submitted to more than one job at a time
