Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Job Description

• Provide circulating nursing support across multiple surgical service lines including:

  • General Surgery
  • Robotics (Da Vinci Platform)
  • Orthopedics (Total Joint and Joint Revisions)
  • C-sections
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Neuro/Spine
  • Podiatry
  • Endoscopy (EGD/Colonoscopy)
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for charting and medication management.
• May assist in 2nd scrub role and PACU as needed.
• Work schedule: 32-40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts. Call required 1-2 nights per week, with weekend and holiday rotation.
• Floating to PACU may be required if able.
• Unit consists of two ORs and two Endoscopy suites, with additional OR spaces planned.
• Call team includes 1 OR RN, 1 CST, and 1 SAU RN.
• Dress code: Hospital-provided surgical scrubs, closed-toe wipeable shoes, surgical headcovering required in OR, no gel or acrylic nails, no loose jewelry.
• Orientation includes traveler onboarding and EPIC training (location approximately 1 hour from assignment site).
• Patient population primarily elective outpatient procedures; higher acuity patients requiring critical care post-op are transferred to regional facilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating nursing experience.
• Current Indiana RN license or compact license valid in Indiana.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through AHA.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification through AHA.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Candidate must be able to work call shifts and float to PACU if needed.
• Hospital is a newer community facility with modern surgical suites.

This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs comfortable with multiple surgical specialties and flexible scheduling including call and floating duties.
