Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Tarzana, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Med Tech)
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- Certifications Required:
- CNMT, NMTCB, or ARRT
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI, Fire Card, Management of Assaultive Behavior, NIH Stroke Certification, Chemotherapy, EFM (if applicable)
- Licensing:
- Must have a valid state license in hand within 4 weeks of submitting to the position
- CPDH Certificate required for all RTs working in California
- Experience:
- New graduates accepted (no minimum years of experience required)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Work Schedule:
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement
- No floating between units required
- Caseload: Pending

- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Any color allowed

- Pending state license accepted with conditions
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- Must be completed within 45 days of start date
- Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide and County checks, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if applicable), and International Background Search (if applicable)
- Background checks must be updated annually
- State-Specific Checks:
- Washington and Oregon have specific background and registry requirements if applicable
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel starts after 2/5/2024, updated annually
- Immunizations and titers required: TDAP, TB test or chest X-ray, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination (or declination), COVID vaccine or declination
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- References:
- Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Employment Application:
- Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- Skills Checklists:
- Required annually for applicable units
Training & Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- Competency exams as required by specialty
- Color Blind Testing (if required by unit)
- Specialty-specific competency exams (e.g., Medication Aide exam for CNAs in LTC Oregon facilities)
- Epic training modules completion required (for applicable roles)
- Providence WorkRamp Modules:
- Core regulatory and specialty-specific modules required annually
- Modules assigned based on region, specialty, and facility
- Includes trauma-informed care, specialty-specific, and regional core modules
Additional Notes
- Fire Card certification is required; candidates may have up to 30 days post-start to complete if prior attempts were unsuccessful
- Float policy acknowledgment may be required for some Providence facilities (not applicable here as no floating required)
- Pending state licenses accepted only if license is obtained within 4 weeks of submission
- New graduates and first-time travelers are welcome to apply
