Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Elmira, New York

Job Summary

• Plan and implement individualized speech therapy treatment programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality care for inpatients, outpatients, assisted living, and skilled nursing facility residents.
• Evaluate patients based on physician prescriptions and develop measurable treatment goals.
• Prepare documentation including evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and communicate patient care updates to physicians.
• Provide guidance to assisting staff and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in developing new speech therapy services and maintain department equipment.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Engage in continuing education, departmental committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a professional image and demonstrate customer/patient-centered care.

Education & Licensing

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice speech and language pathology in New York State at the time of hire.

• Completion of facility-specific forms and training including code of conduct, sexual harassment acknowledgement, and other onboarding documentation.
