Travel RN Opportunity - Las Vegas, Nevada

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: IMC/PCU (Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit)
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 48
Patient Ratios: 3 to 4 patients per nurse
Staffing: Primary nursing model (no HUCs or PCTs)
Equipment:
- In-room built-in vital signs monitoring
- Centralized telemetry monitoring
- Ventilators, BiPAP
- Hoyer lifts, Cardiac chairs, Sara Steady
- Doppler, bladder scanner, ultrasound-guided IV machine
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend commitment
Floating Policy: Travelers are first to float per collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
Patient Experience: Bedside shift reporting and AIDET communication framework required

Required Skills & Experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in PCU/IMC nursing
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Clinical Skills:
- Experience managing drips and ventilators
- Procedures performed on unit include chest tube care, central line management, minor urologic procedures, and emergency intubation

Additional Information

Dress Code: Royal blue uniform; no artificial nail polish allowed
