Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D) - Travel/Contract
Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Description
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
- Patient Volume: 650-700 deliveries per year
- Unit Breakdown: 2 triage beds, 5 labor beds, C-section OR, recovery room
- Schedule: Some weekends and holidays required
- Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer
- Possible extension after initial 13-week assignment
- Minimal to no Return to Origin (RTO) allowed (must be included on submission)
- EMR System: Cerner
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate
Required Skills
- Fetal Monitoring (FM) - Intermediate level
- Circulate in OR
- IV Start
- Medical Screening Exam
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Preferred: 2+ years L&D experience
- Prior travel experience is REQUIRED (e.g., must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
Dress Code
- Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year and updated annually
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Fit test completed onsite at no cost
- Immunizations and titers required or acceptable declination forms for:
- TB (QGold or TSPOT within 30 days; no PPDs accepted)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for L&D and Mother & Baby)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season unless approved medical/religious exemption is granted
- TB Questionnaire required within 30 days of start
Background & Verification Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Employment verification including SSN trace, counties, national sex offender, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks
- Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted)
- NURSYS verification for RN license
- State license primary source verification
- Drug testing and health documents as above
- Two recent supervisor/manager references verified within 12 months
- Performance and internal evaluations if previously worked with the facility over 1 year
Facility Specific Requirements
- Completion of assigned HealthStream modules prior to first day
- Submission of a professional photo for badge within 24 hours of signing
- Completion of facility-specific forms including IS115 and IS119 forms (time sensitive, wet or DocuSign signature required)
- Review of facility dress code and flu exemption forms if applicable
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be willing and able to complete fingerprinting in Georgia if not already residing in the state (30-day grace period allowed)
- Documentation must be submitted in the order requested by the facility checklist
- Flu vaccine deadline: November 21st for flu season compliance
