Description
Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 19 weeks
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM
- 8-hour shifts (optional 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks)
- 1 evening shift and 1 Saturday per month
- Return to Office (RTO) required for February and March
- Federal holidays off
- Steady weekday schedule

Daily Caseload
- Approximately 33 PET/CT scans per day
- Imaging includes whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, neuroendocrine
- Use of 2 PET/CT scanners
- Mostly oncology cases
Requirements
- Experience in PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine
- IV starts and PACS proficiency
- BLS certification required
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- Valid State License
- Experience with both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Scrubs not provided (prefer grey preferred)
Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years (default for specialty)
- Prior travel experience is NOT required (first-time travelers welcome)
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Instructor/Provider or RQI acceptable
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM) as applicable based on unit
- State License verification required within 30 days of start
- Competency exams including Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for RNs prior to start
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required annually
Background & Compliance
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification required (accredited programs only)
- Fingerprinting must be completed using specific Ohio codes; results must be current within 1 year of start
- Pending background check attestation allowed if fingerprint results are pending
- Confidential Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Compliance Reporting training and acknowledgment required
- Ethics and Compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required annually
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions reviewed
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required; at least one from a manager or formal leadership
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required
- Proof of fingerprint completion required for all candidates
