Location: Mayfield, Kentucky

• Patient Population: Obstetrics, Newborn Nursery, occasional Gynecology Surgery, occasional breast reduction, abdominoplasty
• Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN standards
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): MediTech

Requirements

• Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license to practice in Kentucky
• Certifications Required Prior to Start:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • HWC (Hospital Workforce Certification)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Labor & Delivery specialty
• Experience:

  • Must have OB experience
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; no casual wear allowed

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify
• Float requirements as needed
• Facility is a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited hospital serving multiple counties
• The unit follows AWHONN standards for patient care and ratios

Summary

This is a travel RN position in Labor & Delivery requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and multiple certifications. The role offers a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours and weekend rotation. Prior OB and charge nurse experience are important for success in this role.
