Description
Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech / IR Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details
- Start Dates: February 9, 16, or 23
- Shift: 4x10 hour days (may change during interview)
- On-Call: Yes, some on-call required
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: No (100-mile radius rule)
- Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
- First-Timers: Not accepted (prior travel experience required)
- Driver’s License: Must be included with submission
Experience Requirements
- Years of Specialty Experience Required: 2 years
- Prior Travel Experience: Required (first-time travelers not accepted)
Certifications & Licenses
- State License: Required as applicable (TN license or multistate license)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required
- Tech Certification: National certification required for OR Techs (CST or NBSTA) and CT Techs (ARRT certification). CT Techs assigned to TN do not require a TN state license but must have national certification.
- Other Certifications: PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable to specialty or unit (check specific requirements)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
- Sex Offender Search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
- Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year (required for Echo Techs)
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
- Immunizations required:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed)
- Varicella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed)
- Hepatitis B (3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination)
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year) and annual TB questionnaire if positive
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
Additional Requirements
- Two recent professional references required
- Skills checklist and internal evaluation required if employed with agency for one year or more
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
- Dress code:
- Navy blue scrubs for RNs
- Caribbean blue for RRTs (South & Germantown)
- Steel gray scrubs for Surgical and OB Techs
- No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- CT Techs: Ceil blue top and pants with optional white lab coat or matching scrub jacket
- RN Case Managers: Business casual with white lab coat
Notes
- Must not submit to more than one job/facility within this health system simultaneously
- All Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
This position is at a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center facility.
