Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology)
• Required Years of Experience: 3 years recent experience preferred (first-timers accepted only if over 3 years recent experience)
• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (may change during interview)
• On-Call: Yes, usually 1 weekend per month
• Weekend Requirement: As needed

• Locals: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for all candidates except some allied health roles
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for Cath Lab and critical care areas
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs except at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital
• Other certifications may be required depending on assignment area (e.g., PALS, TNCC, EFM) but not specifically for this role

Licensure

• Tennessee RN License required or Multistate License (NLC compliant)
• Pending licenses not accepted

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background Check within 60 days of start, including:

  • Statewide, County, Federal searches
  • Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
  • Sex Offender Search
  • Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry (TN facilities only)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations required:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B (3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
• Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (facility requires 3M brand only)

Documentation and Submission Requirements

• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations required if employed with agency for 1 year or more
• Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, no filters, recent within 6 months)
• Driver’s license and two forms of government-issued ID required
• Facility-specific dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
