Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab) - Travel/Contract

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
  • Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Call: No call required (subject to change during interview)
  • Weekend Requirement: As needed
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Locals Accepted: No (50-mile radius rule applies)
  • Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission; late submissions will not be approved

Experience Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment (first-timers not accepted)

Certifications & Licenses Required

  • State License: Tennessee license or multistate license required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required (AHA or ARC only)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required (AHA or ARC only)
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs (except at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital)
  • Other certifications may be required depending on assignment specifics

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 60 days of start including:
    • Statewide, county, federal searches
    • Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
    • Sex offender search
    • Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (facility-specific)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
  • Two recent professional references required
  • Skills checklist and internal evaluation may be required depending on tenure

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
  • Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (must pass without limitations)
  • Immunizations required:
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed
    • Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed
    • Hepatitis B: Proof of 3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
    • TB test: True 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year, updated annually
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)

Additional Requirements

  • Driver’s license must be included with submission
  • Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
  • Facility-specific dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
  • Must sign confidentiality acknowledgment prior to start
  • Submission of all required documentation (licenses, certifications, background checks, health records) is mandatory before start
