Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Germantown, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Years of Experience Required: 3+ years recent experience (first-timers not accepted unless 3+ years recent experience)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Start Dates: February 9, February 23
- On-Call: As needed
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block Schedule: Not open to block schedules; weekend block may be considered or discussed during interview
- Locals: Not accepted (strict 100-mile radius rule)
- Licensing: Must be in compliance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; no pending licenses accepted
- Driver’s License: Required with submission
- Special Experience: Level I Trauma experience required
- Preferred Experience: Large hospital experience preferred

- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for all candidates except some allied health roles
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for ER, Pediatric ER, Telemetry, Stepdown, ICU, CVICU, SICU, PACU, Cath Lab, Dialysis, RRT, Labor & Delivery, and OR travelers at specified locations
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for Pediatrics, ER, Pediatric Oncology, PICU, and some RRTs; also required for OR travelers at specified locations
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for Newborn Nursery, Postpartum, NICU, and some RRTs
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs except those at Children’s Hospital; expires every 2 years
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Preferred for ER, not required
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for Labor & Delivery within 2 years of start
Background and Compliance Checks
- Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
- Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
- Sex offender search required
- Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search required (TN facilities only)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
- Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually; chest X-ray if positive
- Immunizations required:
- Measles (Rubeola) – proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Mumps – proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Rubella – proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Varicella – proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B – 3 shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
Documentation and Compliance
- Two recent professional references required
- Skills checklist and internal evaluation required for candidates employed with agency for 1+ year
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, no filters, recent within 6 months)
- Facility-specific dress code:
- Navy blue scrubs for RNs
- No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Business casual with white lab coat for RN Case Managers
- All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be submitted at time of application
Additional Notes
- Large hospital and Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Strict compliance with all licensing, certification, and health requirements is mandatory
- No local candidates accepted within 100-mile radius
- Weekend and on-call shifts as needed
