Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Prince Frederick, Maryland

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (7 PM - 7 AM)

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Floating: Required to float between like MS/TELE units (other MS/TELE floors)

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 3 years
• Years of Experience Preferred: 4 years
• First-time Travelers: Not accepted
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications

• Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Additional Certifications (as applicable):

  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for MS/Tele, ER, ICU)
  • PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI (depending on unit)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal check (updated annually)
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • OFAC Sanctions List Search
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam updated annually
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (titers or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed)
• Drug screening:

  • 9 or 10 panel drug screen within required timeframe
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• N95 Fit Test within 12 months of start (RespSafety clearance required if fit testing onsite)

Documentation & Competencies

• Clinical references (2-3 required)
• Performance evaluations if previously worked with the system
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology tests
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification for RNs

Additional Notes

• Royal Blue Scrubs required
• Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure required for specific units (OR, Cath Lab, Radiology, etc.) but not provided by agency for new candidates
• Floating is required within MS/TELE units but not to sister facilities

This position is ideal for experienced MS/Telemetry RNs who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are comfortable with night shifts and floating within similar units. First-time travelers are not accepted.
