Job Opportunity: Radiation Technician (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in the diagnostic radiology department.
• Required experience in OR, ER, ICU, and Trauma settings.
• 8-hour overnight shifts.
• Must hold ARRT(R) certification and Kansas LRT license.

Health & Safety Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two doses of vaccine (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted
• TB Testing: Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit Test: Required annually, preferred before start
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days of start
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Ascension Core Competencies training (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) completed within one year, updated yearly
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation
• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 30 days prior to assignment
• EPLS check within 90 days prior to start
• Skills Checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
• Education Verification within 90 days prior to start
• Employment Verification for past seven years
• Confirmation of Assignment documentation
• Ascension Profile and at least two professional references required

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position.
• Must be able to work overnight shifts.
• Experience in high-acuity areas (OR, ER, ICU, Trauma) is mandatory.
