Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job in Mayfield Heights, Ohio

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
• Shift/Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, no set days
• Schedule: Every other Saturday and Sunday; holiday help required; call assistance if living locally
• Modality: General X-ray
• System Types: Shimadzu Rad-Speed, Shimadzu Mobile Art MX8, AGFA DXD 100, Orthoscan mini-C-arm
• Procedures: All Emergency Department general X-ray exams including reductions/traumas, pediatric exams, and portable X-rays in units and on floors
• Scrub Color: Navy

Experience Requirements

• Years of Specialty Experience: Must have experience with ER, Level 1 Trauma, and NICU/Neonates (minimum 2 years clinical practice in acute care setting required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Licensure & Certifications

• Required Licenses:

  • ARRT Certification
  • Ohio State Radiology License
• Required Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA RQI certs acceptable but non-RQI preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – as applicable
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – as applicable
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – as applicable
• Other:

  • National Certification/Verification prior to facility start and upon expiration
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (updated annually)

Contract Length

• Duration: 13 weeks

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS)
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Transcript/Diploma verification
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start; must be completed immediately if not on file; facility fingerprinting on first day
• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; updated annually
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
• Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care in a similar area
• Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint result attestation updated annually

Health & Safety Requirements

• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions
• Fit mask testing within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved N95 masks)
• Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; chest x-ray if prior positive; annual TB symptom assessment
• Annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB test
• Immunization or titer documentation for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; updated annually; one retest allowed for dilute results; instant drug screens not accepted
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/31–3/31); declinations not accepted

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; modules must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
• Badge pickup occurs on the first day for X-Ray Techs
• Facility may require new TB test for annual renewal even if prior test is not expired
