Nursing Contract Opportunity - Moses Lake, Washington
Position Summary
- Function as both a caregiver and care manager.
- Responsible for a group of patients, implementing the Nursing Process.
- Oversee and direct work of other caregivers (nurses and non-nurses) through delegation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of patient care outcomes.
- Make decisions based on sound judgment.
- May function as Charge Nurse, including delegation, assisting with admissions/discharges/transfers, coordinating staff coverage, and problem-solving.

Essential Functions
- Perform patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Implement care according to policies and care plans.

- Delegate patient care activities and supervise coworkers effectively.

Work Environment
- Reports to Nursing Department Director, House Supervisor, Charge Nurse, and other supervisory staff.
- Works closely with patients, physicians, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Washington State RN Licensure.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire (AHA or equivalent).
- Preferred: Experience as an acute care registered nurse.
- Preferred: Minimum 1 year of RN experience in specialty nursing departments.
- Skills include critical thinking, accountability, crisis management, and competency in caring for patients across the age continuum.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and perform manual dexterity tasks for 8-12 hour shifts.
- Physical strength to perform CPR and assist with lifting/pushing/pulling 60 to 300 pounds multiple times per shift.
- Keen mental faculties for assessment and decision-making.
- Good visual acuity for patient assessment and documentation.
- Emotional stability to handle high stress, fast-paced activity, and emotional demands.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Additional Information
- Up to 24 hours of call off available to the facility at no cost during the assignment.
Note: Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
