Position Details

Required Experience

- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted but mask required.
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite.
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA: Required with specific timing; TB questionnaire updated annually.
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within 1 year.
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Drug Screening: 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
Testing & Exams (Must be completed prior to start and updated regularly)
- Ascension Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%, max 2 attempts)
- Ascension Medical Surgical Exam (minimum 80%, max 2 attempts)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA; minimum 80%, max 2 attempts)
- Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80%, max 2 attempts; updated edition as of Dec 1, 2023)
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical, updated annually)
- Ascension Color Vision Test (updated every 3 years)
Onboarding Requirements
- Signed Assignment Agreement
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (provided at start and with extensions)
- Ascension Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually)
- Ascension Criminal Background Check (including SSN trace, OIG, National Sex Offender; updated annually)
- Ascension EPLS check (updated within 90 days of start)
- Ascension Badge Photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters)
