Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Electrophysiology)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Position needed to cover a Leave of Absence (LOA)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years (Electrophysiology Lab experience or outpatient clinic experience required)
- First-time travelers accepted
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Must have a background in Cardiology
- May need to float between like units as needed within skillset
- Open to local, non-local, and true travelers
Required Skills
- Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal
- Watchman procedure
- Arrhythmia Induction
- Cardiac Ablation
- Cardiac Mapping
- Cardioversion
- Conduction Studies
- Insertion/Programming of AICDs
- Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure
- Pacemaker Insertion
- Antiarrhythmics and Antihypertensives
- Thrombolytics
- Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
- Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies in AFib management
- Experience in risk factor modification clinics or device clinics
- Strong patient education skills, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and team collaboration

- Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - if applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - if applicable
- Other certifications as required by clinical track and specialty
Licensure and Verification
- Valid State Nursing License (Washington)
- NURSYS Verification required for all RNs
- Education Verification required (nursing degree)
- Background checks including state-specific searches and federal databases
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates
Compliance and Training
- Completion of Providence Health and Services required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty-specific, and facility-specific) prior to start
- Epic training modules completion required
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Skills checklists updated annually
- Float policy acknowledgment (may be required to float to other Providence facilities)
References and Employment History
- Minimum of 2 references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format for dates worked
- Clarification required for any gaps or overlaps in employment
Additional Notes
- Locals and travelers are welcome; temp-to-perm conversion is ideal but not mandatory
- No weekend or on-call shifts required
- Must be willing to float within skillset as needed
- Experience working with higher patient ratios is ideal
