Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU/ICU Float Pool)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Float within 5 hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
- Float pool between PCU and ICU; schedule primarily from PCU
- Block scheduling NOT allowed
- Return to Office (RTO) required at time of submission; no RTO after submission accepted
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC only)
- End of Week (EOW) / End of Hour (EOH) documentation required
- EPIC experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required
Certifications & Compliance
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required for applicable units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) required for applicable units
- NIH Stroke Certification required for RNs in MS, Tele, ICU, ED, PCU
- Pass/Fail Dysrhythmia Testing required for specific units (ED, ICU, PCU, Cath Lab, etc.)
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Color Blind Testing within 1 year of start
- State RN License verification (Primary Source Verification)
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
- CEUs required for ER and Pediatric ER RNs (8 hours stroke, 4 hours trauma or TNCC)
Health & Background Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (must be done before first shift)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD, QGold, or TSpot)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
- Varicella
- 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by 10/31
- Eye exam with visual acuity 20/40 or better
- Latex questionnaire
Documentation & Other Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify proof or attestation
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
- Work history verification (minimum 1 year prior to start date, allowing 30-day gaps)
- Two professional references within last 2 years
- Facility-specific documents including badge photo and possibly personal/auto insurance for home health
Additional Notes
- Local rate adjustment for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital
- Candidates cannot start if certifications expire within 30 days of contract start date
- Dysrhythmia competency must be completed on a PC (not iOS devices) within 72 hours of receipt, with only two attempts allowed
This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses comfortable with floating between PCU and ICU settings in a multi-hospital system. Prior travel experience is not mandatory but preferred.
