Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Bucyrus, Ohio

Job Description

• Must be willing to float to other campuses (MS-Tele Units in Ontario & Galion) if census drops to maintain hours.
• On Call: If placed on call, must arrive at the hospital within 1 hour when called in.
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) is required.
• Submit all time off requests.
• Typical staffing ratio: 1:5.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent/consecutive experience in MS-Tele in a hospital/acute care setting.
• Knowledge of medication scanning is required.
• Prior travel experience is required.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only.

Key Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check, updated annually.
• OH BCI and FBI fingerprint attestation within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government issued photo ID.
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license.
• Education verification (highest level required).
• NURSYS verification for RNs within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Immunizations and titers including:

  • TDAP within 10 years or signed declination.
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccines.
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination.
  • Varicella titer or vaccines.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually.
• Fit mask testing prior to start.
• Competency exams and core training modules updated annually.
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted).
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete online Healthstream modules and facility-specific onboarding prior to or shortly after start.
• Skills check-offs (e.g., Stat Strip Nova Glucometer, Aseptic Compounding-IV Medications) will be completed onsite during the first week.
• COVID and Flu exemption forms required if applicable, with masking requirements during flu season for approved exemptions.
• Must review and sign facility-specific policies including attendance, traveler expectations, and unit-specific job descriptions prior to start.

This position is ideal for experienced MS/Tele RNs with prior travel experience who are flexible and able to work in multiple locations within the hospital system.
