Job Opportunity: Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech)

Location: Hutchinson, Kansas

Specialty

• Ultrasound Tech (Sonographer)
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS Certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN (RDMS-OB/GYN) via ARDMS
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS
  • ARRT Registered Sonographer preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in sonography

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Shifts: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5 shifts of 8 hours)
• On-call rotation during the week (no weekend call or coverage expected)
• Holidays: Depends on contract duration

Work Environment & Equipment

• Unit: Ultrasound
• Equipment used: GE Logiq E9, Philips IU22, Mindray
• Average daily workload: 8 – 12 Echo studies
• Charge Nurse Lead Tech performs Echo studies daily
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house
• IV Team available
• No weekend or holiday coverage required unless on-call rotation

Orientation & Dress Code

• Floor-specific orientation and training provided, tech dependent
• Scrub color: Black pants / pewter (gray) top (not provided)

Additional Notes

• No tele or ventilator responsibilities
• No floating required
• No respiratory therapy or pharmacy coverage required
