Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Description

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all in clinical records per regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services based on patient evaluation; make referrals as needed.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Document all required information in electronic systems and maintain patient records according to policy.
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical standards.
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings.
• Attend facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences.
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as required.
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to APTA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.

Requirements

• Specialty: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of PT experience required (higher value from description).
• New graduates are acceptable if they have completed Level II experience (not just Level I observation).
• Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation experience is required.
• Missouri State License is required.
• Able to work 8-hour shifts during the day.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value).
